China Killer Quake, 12,000 Dead and Soaring

The growing figure of deaths and missing people in China is the cause of growing and blatant concern for people around the world. This earthquake that ravaged China today was centered just north of the Sichuan provincial capital of Chengdu in central China, tearing into urban areas and mountain villages.
According to reports, more than 12, 000 were found dead in Sichuan province alone, and the toll of people buried in debris is also growing. The figures are expected to rise in due time because the remoteness of the areas affected impedes rescuers in finding the victims. The heavy rains also makes it even more difficult for the paratroopers to have their rescue operations.
This earthquake is the worst that ever happened in China in 30 years.
