Anniversary Gifts

Last Saturday, my Prince and I celebrated our 3-year anniversary across the distance. I must say this is just the beginning of our journey to forever.

As early as the first week of December, I have been thinking long and hard on what I should send my Prince for a gift. In fact, the ordeal wasn't only experienced by me but my Prince as well, LOL! He even said that for three years, we've almost sent everything there is to send that is why we are having such a hard time on what to give each other.

My Prince forewarned me not to send expensive gifts. He told me that cards will do but knowing me, he knew that cards wouldn't be enough, hehe!

I wanted to give him simple yet memorable gifts. My co-workers suggested some novelty items and I loved the idea. It's not the first time though that I have sent him items from the Philippines. I have done it on several occasions.

Finally! I was able to think of something ;-)

This is a customized mouse pad. My co-worker and I were searching for some items when we passed by Personal Effects at Robinsons Mall. They have been making items for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, baptismals, anniversaries and etc. The items that caught my fancy were custom mouse pads. It was the first time I saw such items. I chose the layout myself courtesy of an online scrap booking site and the result was shown above.

I also bought him a novelty shirt from Bench showing off the the words: I Love Pinas! And of course! A beautiful card went along with these items.

So simple, aint yeah? ;-)

And oh! My mother sent him an anniversary greeting card , too!

The gifts were sent on the 23rd of December 2009 and was delivered on their doorstep on the 1st of January 2010- eight days before our anniversary :-) Just the way I wanted it.

During the course of my search for the anniversary gifts, I haven't forgotten to buy some stuffs for Mummy Carol. It has been both a tradition by me and My Prince to always send both Mummies some mementos and cards. I bought Mummy a purse and a wallet because I knew how she loves these items. I also bought some fridge magnetic decors made from the Philippines.

And how she loved them all!

Here's our anniversary gifts for each other last year:

Three- Year Anniversary Soon!

My Prince and I will be celebrating our 3-year anniversary on January. Being into a long-distance relationship, I can truly say that it is a feat! Not too many couple can survive the time and separation test, which they say is truly the test of true love.

The past couple of days, I have been thinking hard on what to give my Prince for a gift. He actually warned me last night not to spend so much for it. Just a card will do. But he himself chuckled and told me that knowing me, he knew I won't settle for less, haha. A family friend suggested a white gold ring will do, one for my Prince and one for me. If I was born rich, I will surely give him diamonds, hehe!

But hey!

Diamonds are girls' bestfriend so I should wait for him to give me one, LOL!

Anyways, My Prince doesn't know the size of his ring finger and he doesn't wear one. He told me he will only wear one when it's our wedding ring ;-) So I need to think of another to give him on our anniversary.

From My Guapo Prince With Love

Now is the time to show off my anniversary gifts from my guapo Prince ;-) In my previous post HERE, I have expressed how happy I was getting hold of the lovely anniversary card. Though I know he prepared some other things for me, I still would prefer the card over other material things. Whenever he sends me anything, my mother always have something, too. I always do the same way for Mummy Carol as well. That's for saying thank you for being so nice to me and for raising such a good and admirable son.
Prior to sending me the gifts, my Sayang was already a little confused on what to give my mother. I just told him anything will do as long as it's not too expensive. Well, he just told me he bought her a watch and never said anything about my gifts. When I got hold of the presents, I was in awe to finally see a jewelry box with complete jewelry set instead of just a watch. So I thought the watch is for my mother and the rest is mine, haha!
When I broke the news to him that I already got the presents, well, he was more concerned if whether my mother would love his presents or not. My mother was still at work at the time. He even told me not to send my mother any SMS. It was then when I learned that the complete jewelry set is for my mother along with a fan. All of them for her to use when she serves her duties at church. My Prince told me that my mother deserves it all for being such a great Mummy!

I was truly happy with my own present which is a Guess wallet which I will also use only during worship services.

Thanks so much, My Prince Scotty! More than these material presents, I am so grateful for the blessing of having you in my life! Being so many miles away from you is killing me but I am simply hanging by a moment waiting for the realization of all our aspirations especially this year. I know we will have a great life together and I can't wait for us to be with each other everyday, sharing our ups and downs, joys and aspirations, without having to leave each other's side. Fate put us through this, but we will come out of it all shining and victorious as the love we feel is hard to find.

I am so proud of the person that you are and thanks so much for loving me the way you do; for always putting up with all my imperfections and for always being there for me. Thank you for being such a wonderful Mahal that any girl could ask for...
