It’s funny to think how a mere basketball game could immensely affect one’s emotion. True, I love watching basketball games especially so when my fave team is on the run. You just don’t know how happy I am when my team wins. It’s like you wanna throw out a real big party. And how heart breaking it is when they lose. I always see to it that I keep myself updated with my own favorite team -- their standing, schedule of games, stats, etc. I admit that it’s the only show I prefer to watch if you would let me choose one though I am also trying to enjoy watching other shows apart from watching basketball. Right! You could say I am a fanatic, a proud Ginebra fan at that, hehe.

I still could recall, I was in college when I have erratic heartbeats whenever I watch their games without a single miss, huh! You could attribute it to my having a big admiration to their once-small-forward player Vince Hizon, who is now happily married, poor me, hehe! Well, the feeling’s long gone as well as the man. He’s no longer part of my all-time favorite team but still, I am one of the million Ginebra-fans who keeps cheering and egging them on to always keep that NEVER-SAY-DIE SPIRIT.

New players came and continued to live up to the fans’ expectations. The ball is round. They could win the championship or they could not. But still, I am hoping they have the win every game because it’s one of the things that make me happy. Yeah, “ang babaw ko”, you might think that. I won’t mind, it’s a good feeling to be true to one’s own self…

What's Your Usual Sunday Routine?

For majority of Filipinos like me, Sunday is Family Day. It is the day we usually spend for ourselves and our loveones just at home sitting pretty and relaxing. Some would love to spend their time at the malls or watching movies.

As to my own routine, Sunday kicks off when my alarm rings at 3:30am. I have to force myself to get up from a deep slumber. After thanking God for the blessing of a new day, I have to tidy myself up for my church obligations. Sunday worship service begins at 6am but I need to be there before the clock hits 5am. That is a must for Church Officers.

My time spent for my church duties lasts until 9am. After that, I go home straight. I usually do not go anywhere on Sundays. Not unless if I choose to deviate from this Sunday ritual. I just stay at home and had always kept myself glued on my PC, haha!

Oh yes! Over the years, I have become a certified virtual slave, hahaha! Right after opening the door at home, I immediately head off to where PC is situated and turn it on. Most times, I haven't changed from my church uniform yet. I continue to do my daily routine of hopping, commenting and dropping my cards to fellow EntreCarders. It has become a habit that's so hard to break! Once done, I change my clothes and sleep. Getting a good and quality sleep is what I am deprived of since I got hooked on blogging. That's why I always cherish my Sundays because it's the only time I can get quality sleep.

I would also usually do some chores at home but not that much. I feel useless and guilty at times. It's because we only got 24 hours a day instead of 48 hours, hahaha! Anyways, the day won't end without me and my Prince updating each other on what had transpired for the entire day. That's the sweetest part of it all! I can't afford to have some distractions so the world practically stops when we are both talking. My online chores come to a halt for the duration of our talk and my focus and concentration is only on  him. When he is off to bed, that's the time I attend to all my blogging tasks again- doing opportunities, chatting with blogger friends, drafting some posts that comes to mind in random and finally goes to bed at 10pm. 

The routine goes similar each and every Sunday. Quite boring, huh! Sometimes I do get bored and everytime I tell my Prince how boring my day was, he would give me a short retort: "Just blog, Mahal".  I would reply back: "Oh no! I've had enough of blogging!" When those types of conversation takes place, it only means I had no opportunities at hand, and that means no moolah! Hahaha! Since I am no extrovert type of person, I love this type of routine where I could get to express myself freely through my blogs. Some may not like what I write but what the heck! It's a free world! I know I can not please everyone but hey! This is my blog ;-)

What's Up?

Monday is supposed to be the first day of the working week. But not for me. I went somewhere and didn't report for work. I went home thereafter and did a few things. The chores seem never ending! I only finished fixing and arranging my clothes in my closet and the drawers in my computer table. It took me... well, let me count.... eight (8) long hours! Gosh! That's a helluva lot of time just for arranging stuffs, huh! It's also equivalent to a day's work, hahaha!

Well, there was some interruptions though. I needed to chat with my Prince earlier than usual as it was a holiday today. Australia Day is celebrated every 26th day of January and everything's shut that's why he has nowhere to go and he's left with no choice but to talk to me, hehehe!

The day was a little idle online. Except for my newest form of addiction. I have been very busy bidding on items that were up for grabs at Ebay. So far, I outbid quite a number of bidders (close to 40 bidders) for 5 items. I already got the 2 purchases in my hands. I am still waiting for the spray I've bought in December.  The two bids I've won today I still have to pay in the next day or two. Now the problem I]ve got is how to stop myself from these online purchases. Mind you, I'm always tempted to purchase the lovely ones especially the casual dresses, hehe!

I'm Saying Goodbye to Blogging

I know some of you might feel very happy ;-) This boring blog won't be trying to get your attention for a few days at least (Tuesday till Friday). Some might feel sad. While I'm away, I won't be able to update this blog and my other blogs for that matter nor can I drop my cards to 900 blogs (for my 3 blogs).

It took a lot of urging from my Prince before he was finally able to convince me that I deserve a break. The last time out, my family went out of town but I was left here all alone at home. For the past couple of months, I've devoted so much of my time online and I have quite sacrificed my offline life in favor of blogging. I find it hard to leave all my blogging chores behind. And of course, since I am in a Long Distance Relationship, it is doubly hard for me to have no internet access. I am not used being "away" from my Prince. I don't wanna miss our daily talks just because I can't get online. It's like the world stops from revolving if I keep myself away from my computer.

This time, I think I owe it to myself. I will be with my family for four long days. Incidentally, Kuerdas shall be performing for the Roots Art Reggae Festival 2008. That should be a real get-away! This will be the first time that I will be away from my computer for quite a long time. I am not too sure if computer or internet accessibility is made available in the island my family is planning to visit.

But what the heck!

I'll try to forget about blogging and find a cure to this addiction for the time being, hehe! I'm thrilled with the thought of me saying bye bye to blogging with careless abandon and not thinking at all on what to write and not concerning myself of deadlines to beat for doing reviews.

To all EntreCarders, it would only mean one thing. I can't return all your drops for a few days. But I will try to make it up to you all once I'm back. I am not too sure if I can keep my regular droppers in that span of time but it's OK, that's how it goes and I understand.

A New TV

We just got our new 29-inch TV today. Thanks to My Sayang! We have been unaware of what’s happening around us for more than three long months. GOSH! It has been that long! When the PBA All-Filipino Cup opened in October, I was a little sad. I won’t be able to see my team play. The Kings is at the bottom of the team standings, only have 2 wins and 6 losses. I am sad with the way things are happening for them but it’s OK. The ball is round. They are the defending champions and they will always be the champions in my heart, win or lose.

I just would like to thank My Sayang for being so supportive of my passions. If not for him, I won’t be able to see my team play this soon.

I Love the Gin Kings!

November 10- My favorite team, Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings, will be playing here in our city versus Santa Lucia Realty. I haven’t seen them play live ever, hehe. My workmate, Karen Alcoseba, knew how I love Ginebra. She told me she has no gift for me on my birthday so she invited me to come with her to see my team’s practice on November 9. I got so excited! After office hour, we went at the City’s gymnasium. There were lots of people watching them rehearse. After the practice, they slowly dispersed but people were asking for their autographs and wanted to have a pose with them. Being a fanatic, I couldn’t just sit there and see those people have a pose with my idols and not have a pose with me, hehe. So with my workmates, Karen Alcoseba, Flordelilyn Magno, Vilma Agulon and me, we took a pose with almost all of the Ginebra players. It was fun, promise, hehehehe. The stars came down just to take some pose with ordinary people like us.

Hot Kitchen Operation/ Hot Kitchen Cooking

It was in May when I decided to enrol in Hot Cook Kitchen. A very good friend of mine, Elvie, encouraged me to enrol. I wanted to learn how to cook. I always admire people who knows how, but God hasn't bestowed me with inborn talents. But I believe everything is learned. That's why I decided to go to Cooking School.

In school, all the basics in cooking were taught. Many Filipino dishes that I love to eat we have learned how to prepare and cook. We hurdled 12 Sundays (exactly 3 months) after we got our Certificate of Training.

We were very happy during our graduation. The photos would tell it all.

I can't tell I could pass for a chef but at least i've learned the basics. I know I still have to learn a lot and I am always open for them.
