When we talk and put the cart before the horse

It was about a month ago when my family began talking about how important it is that the family should be sufficiently insured for the unthinkable. My brother even mentioned about our neighbor who already has the entire family securely insured for medical and hospitalization.

As we discussed the matter, my Mom asked if any of us knew what would be the life insurance quote. We stared at one another and each of us did not have a clue.

Mom then added further by advising us not to put the cart before the horse. How could we discuss lengthily without even knowing the quote for insurance. She was absolutely correct.
