Happy Birthday, My Guapo Prince!

My Prince with his elder brother Mark
sporting my anniversary gift shirt with customized text
"Lainy Is Mine!"

I got out of the hospital in time to celebrate My Sayang's birthday. Like in the previous years, his celebration is without me by his side :-( My Prince invited over some family members  and some friends to have dinner at one restaurant in Sydney to celebrate his natal day.

How I wish I was around, too! How great it would be having to share his happiness on this day for having been blessed with another year! But it's OK. I will always be around in spirit. ;-)

I don't claim to be the perfect girlfriend for my Prince for I have my own misfits, flaws and imperfections. I am still a work in progress and I always wish my Prince the best in everything.

I thank Mummy Carol for raising such an admirable son. She did such a fine job in bringing up such a wonderful son in My Prince.

My heart is overflowing with joy and gratefulness for having been blessed with a beautiful Mahal inside and out. I am such a blessed and lucky soul for out of so many girls trying to get his attention (he! he!), God intervened and chose me for my Prince.  (To know more of my heart's content, read HERE).

Happy, Happy Birthday Mahal Ko!
Looking forward to a life shared with you forever!
Mahal na Mahal Kita!

“…You Are Perfect Because You Are God-Sent”

Heaven Sent Pictures, Images and Photos

Those were the exact words my Prince uttered while we were talking on the phone tonight. I can’t help but feel the tears falling down my cheeks. It sent chills all the way up through my spine. I know those aren’t just words. I have never forgotten to always count my blessings everyday of my life. And I am more blessed when my Prince was sent to me by the heavenly Father.

This long distance relationship has been anchored on God’s precepts and from day one I have always been grateful to the one up above for He gave me the love of my life who’s been an epitome of what a true servant of God should be. My Prince never ceased to inspire me and more than all, he has continued to enhance my faith. When the going gets tough and I am at my lowest low, he never gets tired in giving me a pat on the back. Each time he speaks God’s words before me, I have always relished on the thought that my Prince is being used as an instrument by God in sharing His wisdom.

Any woman who is on my shoe would find it really, really hard to be away from his man. It is never a walk in the park to be in this kind of relationship. Too many relationships have been broken and hearts shattered by too many factors, one among of the many is temptations. I have seen the look of disbelief, if not persecutions, from people who find it hard to understand that a love of this kind is possible for two people, who are separated by culture and distance, to remain steadfast in our love by being loyal and faithful to each other. But I find solace and comfort that the man I love is heaven-sent. He was the man I prayed for long ago and I trust God won’t break my heart by giving me a man to love who has a cheating heart.

Too many people might not entirely understand it but what I and my Prince have is something that is far from magical. What we have is God’s love at its finest! Too many of us believed that there is no perfect partners, no perfect relationships. But when God takes center stage, I must say, everything just perfectly fits and no culture and distance is ever a barrier for two hearts that are meant to be!

Happy Birthday, My Guapo Prince!

Today is my Mahal's birthday! I can't be there. Although there is much distance between us, I have been thinking of him all day, 24/7! Though the miles separate us, the bond we have is far stronger. Today, I am sending him a very special birthday wish, and a little prayer. I hope all his wishes come true.
My Prince is a beautiful person, inside and out and he only deserves a wonderful birthday. I know he will keep getting better every year- as my Prince, as a son to Mummy Carol, as a person and as a good servant of God. Someone as special as My Mahal, who has given me so much love deserves a happy, incredible, fantastic birthday filled with all of the good things life has to offer!
I will always be forever grateful to the Father for having a Mahal like you. I never thought and expected that someone like me could get so lucky. I will always be proud of you. I've never known anyone as giving and as loving as you. You always go that extra mile to inspire and encourage me. I thank you for making me try harder and for making me believe in ME. Thank you for all your patience while our relationship had to go through high waves and hard rocks. I know I will NEVER have to imagine a life without you because our love will be forever and ever no matter what the world turns out to be. Thank you for always being there for me, for bringing love and laughter into my life. I truly could not live my life without having you to talk to and to confide in. You know more about me than anyone, you know my thoughts, and you know my heart inside and out. You have a way of making my heart skip a beat, and I want you and the whole world to know how much I love you.
With God always being with us, I just know our love will flourish beyond what it is right now. Distance maybe is just a part of the reason why sometimes people think we can't handle this whole relationship, but I am sure our love for each other is way far stronger then any oceans can come across. Thank you for loving me the way you do. I couldn't ask for anything more!

HAVE A BLESSED BIRTHDAY!

My Parents' 29th Wedding Anniversary

anniversary

My parents were married on the 4th of June twenty nine years ago, four months before I was born (I know what you must be thinking, hehehe!). Today is supposed to be their 29th wedding anniversary. But it doesn't call for any celebration. They ceased to celebrate anniversaries five years ago.
I grew up a witness on how my father loved to surprise my mother on special occasions. He would send her a card by mail with very meaningful messages. He also would send her flowers. These were only the few things my father love to do to surprise my mother. We, in my family, were all living witnesses how my father loves my mother so much.
But my father did not live long enough to celebrate their anniversary. Before he died five years ago, he was planning of renewing their vows when they reach their silver years. But he died 5 days after their 24th wedding anniversary. All his plans did not materialize.

My mother is still unmarried after 5 long years of being widowed. My entire family still misses my father so much! If only he's here today...
I still get very emotional whenever I speak of my own father. I am not a papa's girl but I missed his 24/7 care and sweetness. If only he's here to make their 29th anniversary a lot different...
